Bachelor of Theology (B.Th)
Purpose
The purpose of the four-year residential Bachelor of Theology programme is to train missionaries, pastors and leaders to have a thorough foundational knowledge in various theological and allied disciplines. This is a four- year programme, in which the first year is considered as pre-Theology. Since the programme is in English, the candidate is required to have proficiency in English. Even if a student is a pass in higher secondary (+2) and is not fluent in English, he/she will have to study for four years. Students admitted to the Pre-Theology batch are expected to clear all their papers before entering into the first year of B. Th.
Entry Requirements
Candidates should be born-again Christians who have passed the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (+2).
Medium of Instruction: English
B.Th. programme is learning oriented and students are required to have a good knowledge of English and an ability to work independently.
Programme Requirements
Students are required to accumulate 108 credits to qualify for graduation.
Master of Divinity
The purpose of the Master of Divinity programme is to train missionaries, pastors and leaders to have an advanced knowledge in various theological and allied disciplines. Some of the M.Div. graduates might develop a special interest in one subject area and may choose to go for higher studies to prepare themselves for a life of scholarship and teaching.
Candidates should be born-again Christians who have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university. The duration of the course would be three years. Candidates who have passed B.Th from ATA/SSC may upgrade to M.Div 2 based on their grades and on their performance in the qualifying exam (Lateral entry).
M.Div. programme is learning oriented and students are required to have a good knowledge of English and an ability to work independently. The student must demonstrate analytical and articulation skills.
Students with secular degree have to accumulate 90 credits. Those who are admitted through lateral entry have to accumulate 60 credits to qualify for graduation.
Accreditation
The Seminary’s B.Th. and M.Div. programmes are accredited by Asia Theological Association (ATA).
